Comparison review
The Sony Xperia 5 is slightly better than the Samsung Galaxy S4, getting an 81 score against 79. Although Sony Xperia 5 is incredibly newer than Samsung Galaxy S4, it's just a little bit thicker and a lot heavier. Galaxy S4 has a little sharper screen than Sony Xperia 5, although it has a just a little lower pixels density, a little bit worse resolution of 1920 x 1080px and a quite smaller display.
Sony Xperia 5 features a bit better processing power than Samsung Galaxy S4, because although it has doesn't have a graphics processor, it also counts with more RAM and 4 more cores. Xperia 5 has a very superior memory for applications, games, photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy S4, because it has a SD memory card expansion slot that allows up to 512 GB and 128 GB internal storage.
Xperia 5 captures slightly better videos and photos than Samsung Galaxy S4, because although it has a less megapixels camera, it also counts with a larger back-facing camera sensor which offers a better image and video quality, a lot larger camera aperture and a much better (4K) video resolution. Xperia 5 counts with superior battery lifetime than Galaxy S4, because it has 3140mAh of battery capacity against 2600mAh.
Although Xperia 5 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Galaxy S4, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Galaxy S4. If you prefer to save some money, you can buy Galaxy S4, giving up a few features and specifications, but you will get the most with your budget.
