Comparison review

Sony Xperia 5 is a bit better than Samsung Galaxy S5, getting a global score of 81 against 80.8. Sony Xperia 5's construction has the same thickness than Samsung Galaxy S5, but it is heavier. Galaxy S5 counts with a more vivid screen than Xperia 5, because although it has a little bit smaller display and a little worse resolution of 1920 x 1080px, it also counts with more pixels per inch of screen.

Sony Xperia 5 counts with much more memory to store more apps and games than Galaxy S5, because it has a SD extension slot that allows up to 512 GB and 128 GB internal storage. Xperia 5 has just a little better performance than Galaxy S5, because although it has doesn't have an additional GPU, it also counts with 4 more processing cores and 3 GB more RAM.

The Xperia 5 has a little longer battery life than Samsung Galaxy S5, because it has a 3140mAh battery size against 2800mAh. Samsung Galaxy S5 captures just a bit better photos and videos than Xperia 5, because although it has a way tinier diafragm aperture, and they both have the same video frame rate, the same 3840x2160 video definition and a 0.38 inches back camera sensor, the Samsung Galaxy S5 also counts with a much more mega pixels back-facing camera.

Although Xperia 5 is a better device, it is way more expensive than Galaxy S5, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Galaxy S5. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy Xperia 5, otherwise you can save some money and get the Galaxy S5, giving up some specifications.
