Comparison review
Sony Xperia 5 is a little bit better than Galaxy S7, getting a overall score of 81 against 79.5. Sony Xperia 5's design is newer than the Galaxy S7's, although it's just a little bit heavier and just a little thicker. Galaxy S7 has a much better looking display than Xperia 5, because although it has a bit smaller display, it also counts with a bit higher 1440 x 2560 resolution and a greater display pixel density.
The Sony Xperia 5 features a superior storage capacity for applications and games than Samsung Galaxy S7, because it has a SD card slot that allows a maximum of 512 GB and 96 GB more internal storage. Xperia 5 features a bit faster processor than Galaxy S7, because it has more RAM and a greater number of cores.
The Sony Xperia 5 counts with a little longer battery life than Galaxy S7, because it has a 5 percent more battery capacity. Galaxy S7 features a camera that is very similar to the Xperia 5 one, because although the Galaxy S7 has a smaller aperture which is not nice for low light photos, and they both have the same video frame rates, the same resolution camera in the back and the same 3840x2160 video resolution, it also counts with a bigger camera sensor shooting better quality photos and videos.
Although Xperia 5 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Galaxy S7, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Galaxy S7. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy Xperia 5, but if you don't you can save some money and buy the Galaxy S7, resigning a couple features and specs.
