Comparison review
The Galaxy S8 Active is slightly better than Xperia 5, getting a overall score of 81.9 against 81. Galaxy S8 Active is a much older, extremely heavier and somewhat thicker phone than the Xperia 5. Galaxy S8 Active features a little bit better looking screen than Sony Xperia 5, because although it has a bit smaller display, it also counts with a higher count of pixels per inch in the screen and a higher resolution of 1440 x 2960 pixels.
Xperia 5 has a much bigger memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy S8 Active, because it has 128 GB internal storage and a SD extension slot that holds up to 512 GB. The Xperia 5 has a little better performance than Samsung Galaxy S8 Active, and although they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Xperia 5 also has more RAM memory.
Samsung Galaxy S8 Active's camera is very similar to Sony Xperia 5's camera, because although the Samsung Galaxy S8 Active has a smaller diafragm aperture which is not good for low-light photography, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video definition, a same resolution back facing camera and the same video frame rate, it also counts with a bigger back camera sensor which provides a better photo and video quality.
The Galaxy S8 Active counts with superior battery life than Xperia 5, because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity.
Despite of being the best phone of the ones we are comparing here, the Samsung Galaxy S8 Active is also by far the cheapest one.
