Comparison review
The Xperia 1 has an overall score of 82.6, which is a little bit better than the Xperia 5's general score of 81. Xperia 1 is a a bit heavier cellphone than the Xperia 5, but they have the same thickness. The Sony Xperia 1's CPU is very similar to the processor in Sony Xperia 5, both of them have the same RAM amount and a Octa-Core processor.
The Xperia 1 has a brighter screen than Xperia 5, because it has a much better 1644 x 3840 pixels resolution, a quite larger screen and more pixels per display inch. The Xperia 1 and Xperia 5 both have extremely similar storage for applications and games, they have a slot for an external memory card that supports a maximum of 512 GB and the same 128 GB internal memory capacity.
The Xperia 1 features just a little bit longer battery lifetime than Xperia 5, because it has a 6 percent more battery capacity. Xperia 1's camera is very similar to the camera in Xperia 5, and although the Xperia 1 has worse 24 frames per second video frame rate, they both have a F1.6 aperture, the same sensor size, the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition and a camera in the back with a 12 MP resolution.
The Xperia 1 costs a bit more than the Sony Xperia 5, but it's still a great choice, because you can get a much better phone for that extra money.
