Comparison review
Xiaomi Mi 8 is a little bit better than the Xperia 5, getting an 83.3 score against 81. Xiaomi Mi 8's design is just a little thinner than Xperia 5, although it's just a little heavier and was released a bit more further than a year before. Xiaomi Mi 8 and Xperia 5 both have similar CPUs, they have the same RAM memory amount and the same number of cores.
The Xiaomi Mi 8 counts with a bit better display than Xperia 5, because although it has a little bit lower display density and a little bit lower resolution of 1080 x 2248 pixels, it also counts with a little larger display. Xiaomi Mi 8 has a little bit better camera than Xperia 5, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture which is not nice for taking photos in poorly lited environments, and they both have the same video frame rates, a back-facing camera with a 12 mega pixels resolution and the same video resolution, the Xiaomi Mi 8 also counts with a larger back camera sensor capturing higher quality videos and photographs.
The Xperia 5 counts with a slightly better memory for applications and games than Xiaomi Mi 8, because although it has just 128 GB internal memory capacity, it also counts with a slot for an SD memory card that admits a maximum of 512 GB. Xiaomi Mi 8 has just a bit longer battery life than Xperia 5, because it has an 8% larger battery capacity.
