Comparison review
Xiaomi Mi 9 is a bit better than the Xperia 5, having a overall score of 83.2 against 81. The Xiaomi Mi 9 construction is just a bit thinner but just a little bit heavier than the Xperia 5, and both were released with only a couple of months difference. Xiaomi Mi 9's CPU is very similar to the CPU in Xperia 5, both of them have 8 cpu cores and 6 GB of RAM memory.
Xiaomi Mi 9 counts with a bit sharper screen than Xperia 5, because although it has a little bit worse 1080 x 2340 resolution and a quite lower pixels amount in each display inch, it also counts with a quite larger display. The Sony Xperia 5 features a lot bigger storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Xiaomi Mi 9, and although they both have exactly the same 128 GB internal storage capacity, the Sony Xperia 5 also has a SD card slot that holds up to 512 GB.
Xiaomi Mi 9 features just a little better battery performance than Xperia 5, because it has a 3300mAh battery size. Xiaomi Mi 9 captures much clearer photographs and videos than Sony Xperia 5, because although it has a tinier aperture which is not recommended for low light photos and videos, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video resolution, the Xiaomi Mi 9 also counts with faster 60 frames per second video frame rate, a way bigger camera sensor shooting lot better quality videos and pictures and a back facing camera with way more mega pixels.
