Comparison review
The Xperia 5 is slightly better than Xiaomi Mi Max, with an 81 score against 77.5. Even though the Xperia 5 is just a bit thicker than Xiaomi Mi Max, it's somewhat lighter and noticeably newer. The Sony Xperia 5 features a bit superior CPU than Xiaomi Mi Max, and although they both have 8 cores, the Sony Xperia 5 also has 2 GB more RAM.
Sony Xperia 5 has a slightly better display than Xiaomi Mi Max, because although it has a little smaller screen, it also counts with a little higher resolution of 1080 x 2520px and more pixels per screen inch. The Sony Xperia 5 counts with a slightly better memory capacity to store more apps and games than Xiaomi Mi Max, and although they both have exactly the same 128 GB internal memory capacity, the Sony Xperia 5 also has an external memory slot that allows a maximum of 512 GB.
The Xiaomi Mi Max counts with a much better battery lifetime than Xperia 5, because it has a 54 percent bigger battery capacity. The Sony Xperia 5 shoots a little bit better pictures and videos than Xiaomi Mi Max, because although it has a back-facing camera with a lot worse resolution and a lower 3840x2160 (4K) video definition, it also counts with a larger aperture.
