Comparison review
Sony Xperia 5 is a little bit better than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, having an 81 score against 77.5. Sony Xperia 5's construction is extremely newer and way lighter than the Xiaomi Mi Max 2's, but it's also a little bit thicker. Xperia 5 features a little sharper screen than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, because although it has a little smaller display, it also counts with a better quantity of pixels per inch in the display and a bit higher resolution of 1080 x 2520px.
The Sony Xperia 5 has more memory for games and applications than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, and although they both have exactly the same internal memory, the Sony Xperia 5 also has a slot for an external memory card that allows a maximum of 512 GB. The Sony Xperia 5 counts with a bit faster processing unit than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Sony Xperia 5 also has 2 GB more RAM memory.
The Xperia 5 shoots just a bit better videos and photos than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, and although they both have the same (4K) video quality, the same 30 frames per second video frame rates and the same resolution camera, the Xperia 5 also has a much bigger camera aperture for better photography and videos in poorly lited environments and a bigger sensor capturing better quality photographs.
The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 features a much longer battery performance than Xperia 5, because it has a 69% larger battery capacity.
Although Xperia 5 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Xiaomi Mi Max 2, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Xiaomi Mi Max 2. If you are trying to save some money, you can buy the Xiaomi Mi Max 2, and give up a couple features and specs, but you'll get the most out of your money.
