The Xperia 5 is a bit better than Xiaomi Mi Note 2, with an 81 score against 76. The Xperia 5 is a much newer and a little bit lighter cellphone than Xiaomi Mi Note 2, but it's just a little bit thicker. The Xperia 5 counts with a slightly better display than Xiaomi Mi Note 2, because it has a bit bigger screen, a little higher resolution of 1080 x 2520 and a bit greater screen pixels density.
Sony Xperia 5 features a lot bigger storage capacity for apps and games than Xiaomi Mi Note 2, and although they both have exactly the same internal storage, the Sony Xperia 5 also has a SD extension slot that allows up to 512 GB. Xperia 5 has a little better performance than Xiaomi Mi Note 2, and although they both have 6 GB of RAM memory, the Xperia 5 also has a larger number of cores (and also faster).

Although Xperia 5 is a better device, it costs a lot more than Xiaomi Mi Note 2, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Xiaomi Mi Note 2. If you are trying to save some dollars, you can get Xiaomi Mi Note 2, and give up some specs and features, but you will get the most with your money.
