The Xperia 5 is slightly better than ZTE Axon 20, having an 81 score against 77.8. The Xperia 5 design is lighter than the ZTE Axon 20, although it is just a little bit thicker and was released about 15 months before. Xperia 5 counts with just a bit better hardware performance than ZTE Axon 20, although it has a smaller amount of RAM, they both have the same number of cores.
The Xperia 5 has just a bit better display than ZTE Axon 20, because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with a bit higher resolution of 1080 x 2520px and a just a bit greater display density. Xperia 5 counts with much more storage for games and applications than ZTE Axon 20, and although they both have equal internal storage, the Xperia 5 also has a slot for external memory cards that admits up to 512 GB.
The ZTE Axon 20 features longer battery performance than Sony Xperia 5, because it has a 4220mAh battery capacity against 3140mAh. ZTE Axon 20 has a very superior camera than Xperia 5, because although it has a smaller aperture, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video quality, the ZTE Axon 20 also counts with a back camera with lot more megapixels, a way bigger sensor capturing more light and vivid colors and higher 60 fps video frame rate.
Although Sony Xperia 5 is a better device, it costs a lot more than ZTE Axon 20, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as ZTE Axon 20. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy Sony Xperia 5, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and buy the ZTE Axon 20, resigning a couple specifications.
