Xiaomi Redmi 5 has a general score of 67.2, which is slightly better than Sony Xperia Ion's score of 61.3. Xiaomi Redmi 5's design is much newer and notably thinner, but also a bit heavier than the Sony Xperia Ion. These phones work with Android OS (operating system), but Xiaomi Redmi 5 has newer 7.1 Nougat version while Sony Xperia Ion has Android 4.1.2.
