Sony Xperia Ion Review

Sony Xperia Ion is a solid Android phone released some years ago, in 2012, which counts with a fast Dual-Core processing unit clocking at 1.5 gigahertz, a medium 4.5-inches screen, a 12.1 MP back facing camera and a 1.3 mega-pixels front-facing camera.

Sony decided to equip this phone using a fast 1500 megahertz Dual-Core CPU and 1 GB RAM. The Sony Xperia Ion has a 16 GB quite big internal storage memory and an external memory slot, allowing you to store a couple hundred apps without running out of space.

The Sony Xperia Ion is only 5.2" long and 2.68" wide, but it is still able to fit a a 4.5" screen. This phone is slim and comfortable, even though it's not so thin as many other devices out there, with a thickness of 0.42 inches. Sony made this phoneavailable just in color black. This cellphone feels a bit heavy comparing with today standards, with a weight of 5.08 oz.

Sony designed this cellphone with an amazing 4.5" screen, and a 1280 x 720 (HD) resolution, which makes all images and videos look vivid and colorful. Its screen uses TFT capacitive technology, and has multi-touch detection.

This cellphone features two cameras, a 12.1 mega-pixels back-facing camera and a 1.3 mega-pixels front side camera. It also captures videos up to 1920x1080 (Full HD). In addition, the camera counts with a couple of good characteristics: flash, face detection shooting, auto-focus, smile detection shooting and geo tagging.

The Sony Xperia Ion features a mid sized 1900 mAh removable battery, which is quite poor for a cellphone like this. According to Sony, this cellphone has an estimated 400 hours stand by time and a 10 hours talk time.

This cellphone provides WiFi capability (although it can't provide it to other devices around, as a mobile mobile hotspot), 4G (LTE) high speed internet connection and fast 3G internet connection, over HSPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This device uses a SIM card to use GSM services.

This phone also includes a lot of cool features such as Near Field Communication (NFC), Bluetooth (provides communication with other cellphones, computers and accessories), GPS (Global Positioning System) and FM Radio, and a few sensors likeLight Sensor, Proximity Sensor and Accelerometer.

This cellphone is really overvalued considering it is sold for 210 dollars, and some similar devices cost a lot less than that. It doesn't matter whether you need a phone to play tons of games, want a work cellphone or need a phone to mostly use social networks, you will probably love this device.
