Sony Xperia M is just a bit better than the Asus ZenFone 5, having a global score of 57 against 56.9. The Sony Xperia M construction is a little thinner and incredibly lighter than the Asus ZenFone 5, although they were released with only a few months difference. Both devices in this comparison review have Android operating system, but the Sony Xperia M has the previous 4.3 version while Asus ZenFone 5 has Android 4.4 version.
Asus ZenFone 5 counts with a bit better processing power than Xperia M, although it has doesn't have an extra GPU, they both have a Dual-Core processing unit and the same RAM memory amount. The Asus ZenFone 5 and Sony Xperia M feature extremely similar screens, although the Asus ZenFone 5 also has a bigger display, a quite better amount of pixels per inch in the screen and a way higher resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels.
The Asus ZenFone 5 takes greater photographs and videos than Xperia M, because it has a lot more mega pixels back camera and a much better 1920x1080 video definition. Asus ZenFone 5 counts with a lot bigger storage to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Xperia M, because it has a slot for SD memory cards that allows a maximum of 64 GB and 8 GB internal memory capacity.
Asus ZenFone 5 has greater battery performance than Xperia M, because it has 2110mAh of battery capacity instead of 1750mAh.
Although Xperia M is a better device, it is a bit more expensive than Asus ZenFone 5, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Asus ZenFone 5. If you want to save some money, you can get the Asus ZenFone 5, letting go a couple features and specs, but you will get the most with your budget.
