The Huawei P40 Lite has a general score of 79.5, which is better than Sony Xperia M5's general score of 70.5. These devices work with Android operating system, but the Huawei P40 Lite has a newer 10 version and Sony Xperia M5 has Android 5.0, providing you a couple additional features. The Huawei P40 Lite construction is newer, but much heavier and somewhat thicker than the Sony Xperia M5.
The Sony Xperia M5 has a much better looking display than Huawei P40 Lite, because although it has a bit worse resolution of 1920 x 1080px and a lot smaller screen, it also counts with a bit higher pixels quantity per screen inch. The Huawei P40 Lite features a superior processing unit than Sony Xperia M5, because it has a larger number of cores and more RAM.
The Huawei P40 Lite counts with a much better memory to install applications and games than Sony Xperia M5, because although it has no slot for an external memory card, it also counts with 112 GB more internal memory capacity. The Huawei P40 Lite features a greater camera than Xperia M5, and although they both have the same (Full HD) video quality and the same video frame rate, the Huawei P40 Lite also has a bigger aperture for better images and videos in poorly lited situations and a much more MP back-facing camera.
Huawei P40 Lite has a very superior battery duration than Xperia M5, because it has a 4200mAh battery capacity instead of 2600mAh.
The Huawei P40 Lite costs a bit more than the Xperia M5, but it's still a great choice, because you can get a lot more features for that extra money.
