Sony Xperia PRO-I is much better than Galaxy M31, getting a overall score of 96.3 against 86.5. Sony Xperia PRO-I's design has the same thickness than the Galaxy M31, but it is somewhat heavier. Both devices in this review have the same Android 11 OS (operating system), so they should give very similar operating system features.
Sony Xperia PRO-I has a little bit better processing power than Galaxy M31, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Sony Xperia PRO-I also has 6 GB more RAM memory. The Sony Xperia PRO-I has a bit sharper screen than Galaxy M31, because it has a much better 1644 x 3840 resolution, a lot greater screen pixel density and a little bigger screen.
The Xperia PRO-I has a superior storage for games and applications than Galaxy M31, because it has more internal storage and a SD memory card expansion slot that holds a maximum of 1 TB. The Samsung Galaxy M31 features a better camera than Sony Xperia PRO-I, because although it has slower video frame rates, and they both have the same video quality, the Samsung Galaxy M31 also counts with a lot larger back camera sensor taking way higher quality photographs, a back facing camera with a way better 64 megapixels resolution and a larger diafragm aperture to capture better images and video in low light environments.
