The Galaxy S5 is a lot better than Sony Xperia S, getting a general score of 77.7 against 63.8. These phones include Android OS, but the Galaxy S5 has newer 4.4.2 version while Sony Xperia S has Android 4.1. The Galaxy S5 body is noticeably newer and notably thinner than the Sony Xperia S's, although it is just a little bit heavier.

Samsung Galaxy S5 counts with a little sharper screen than Xperia S, because it has a much higher 1920 x 1440 pixels resolution, a larger display and a just a bit more pixels per inch in the screen.
