The Motorola Moto X is a little bit better than Xperia SP, getting a overall score of 68.1 against 63.1. Both phones in this review come with Android OS, but Motorola Moto X has 4.4.4 version while Xperia SP has Android 4.3, so it gives a lot of extra features. Although the Motorola Moto X and Xperia SP were released with only a couple of months difference, the Motorola Moto X construction is lighter but just a bit thicker.
Motorola Moto X counts with a display that is very similar to Xperia SP's display, because although the Motorola Moto X has a just a bit worse display pixels density, and they both have the same exact resolution of 1280 x 720px, it also counts with a little bigger display. The Motorola Moto X's processor is just as good as the CPU in Sony Xperia SP, and although the Motorola Moto X has more RAM, they both have a 400 MHz GPU and the same number of cores.
The Moto X shoots greater photos and videos than Xperia SP, and although they both have the same video frame rates and the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video resolution, the Moto X also has a camera in the back with a higher resolution. Sony Xperia SP features a little bit more memory capacity to store more apps and games than Motorola Moto X, because although it has 0 less internal storage, it also counts with a slot for an external memory card that supports up to 32 GB.
Sony Xperia SP features a bit superior battery lifetime than Moto X, because it has an 8% more battery size.
Despite of being the best phone in our current comparison, the Moto X is also by far the cheapest.
