The Apple iPhone 8 is better than Sony Xperia X, having a overall score of 85 against 72.9. The Apple iPhone 8 body is newer, a little bit thinner and a bit lighter than Sony Xperia X. IPhone 8 features a display that's just as good as Sony Xperia X's screen, although the iPhone 8 has much lesser pixels per screen inch, a way worse resolution of 750 x 1334 and a little bit smaller screen.
IPhone 8 counts with a much better storage capacity for games and applications than Xperia X, because although it has no slot for external memory cards, it also counts with 224 GB more internal storage capacity. The iPhone 8 features a better hardware performance than Sony Xperia X, because although it has lesser RAM memory, and they both have a Hexa-Core processing unit, the iPhone 8 also counts with a 64-bit processing unit.
The Xperia X has a way better battery lifetime than Apple iPhone 8, because it has 2620mAh of battery capacity instead of 1821mAh. The iPhone 8 counts with a camera that is very similar to the Xperia X one, because although the iPhone 8 has a much less MP resolution back facing camera and a lot smaller sensor shooting lot lower quality photographs, it also counts with a much higher 3840x2160 video definition and a bigger aperture to take better images and video in low light situations.
Although iPhone 8 is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Xperia X, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Xperia X. If you are trying to save a few dollars, you can get Xperia X, letting go a few features and specifications, but you will get the most out of your money.
