Comparison review

The Galaxy A8 Star has an overall score of 82.1, which is much better than the Xperia XA1 Plus's 73.7 general score. Both of these phones come with Android OS (Operating System), but the Galaxy A8 Star has the newer 9.0 Pie version while Xperia XA1 Plus has Android 8.0 Oreo version, so it provides a couple nice extra features and better performance. The Galaxy A8 Star design is newer and somewhat thinner than the Xperia XA1 Plus's, but it is also a little heavier.

The Galaxy A8 Star's CPU is just as good as the Xperia XA1 Plus one, and although the Galaxy A8 Star has more RAM, they both have the same number of cores. The Xperia XA1 Plus has just a bit better display than Galaxy A8 Star, because although it has a bit worse resolution of 1080 x 1920px and a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a just a little greater count of pixels in each inch in the screen.

Galaxy A8 Star counts with a much bigger memory to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Xperia XA1 Plus, because it has an external memory slot that allows a maximum of 400 GB and 64 GB internal memory. Galaxy A8 Star has just a bit better camera than Xperia XA1 Plus, because although it has a back camera with a much worse 16 mega-pixels resolution and a smaller back-facing camera sensor giving a worse image quality, it also counts with a larger diafragm aperture to take better low-light captures and video and a way better (4K) video quality.

The Samsung Galaxy A8 Star has just a little better battery duration than Xperia XA1 Plus, because it has a 3700mAh battery size against 3430mAh.
