Xperia 5 is better than the Sony Xperia XA1, having a general score of 81 against 71.7. Xperia 5's body is way newer than Sony Xperia XA1's, although it is just a little thicker and somewhat heavier. The Xperia 5 has just a little better processing power than Sony Xperia XA1, and although they both have 8 cpu cores, the Xperia 5 also has more RAM memory.
Xperia 5 counts with a better looking screen than Sony Xperia XA1, because it has a larger display, a lot more pixels per inch of display and a much better resolution of 1080 x 2520px. Xperia 5 features a much better memory capacity to store more games and applications than Sony Xperia XA1, because it has a SD extension slot that allows a maximum of 512 GB and more internal memory capacity.
Xperia 5 features a much better battery performance than Xperia XA1, because it has a 37% more battery size. The Sony Xperia XA1 and the Sony Xperia 5 both feature quite similar cameras, because although the Sony Xperia 5 has a camera with a much worse 12 MP resolution and a smaller back camera sensor which provides a lower image and video quality, it also counts with a much higher (4K) video definition and a larger camera aperture for better photos in low light situations.
Although Sony Xperia 5 is a better device, it costs a lot more than Xperia XA1, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Xperia XA1. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy Sony Xperia 5, else you can save some money and get the Xperia XA1, giving up some features and specs.
