Xperia XA2 Plus is a newer phone than the Xiaomi Mi 5s, although it's thicker and incredibly heavier. Both phones in this comparison review include Android operating system, but the Xperia XA2 Plus has a more recent 8.0 Oreo version while Xiaomi Mi 5s has Android 6.0 Marshmallow version, so it offers some nice extra features and performance tweaks.
Xiaomi Mi 5s features a bit sharper display than Sony Xperia XA2 Plus, because although it has a little worse resolution of 1080 x 1920px and a quite smaller display, it also counts with a little bit higher pixels density and a quite brighter display. The Sony Xperia XA2 Plus counts with a little bit better processing power than Xiaomi Mi 5s, because it has 2 GB more RAM and 4 more CPU cores.
