Comparison review
The Galaxy M31 is a bit better than the Xperia XZ Premium, having a global score of 86.5 against 79.8. The Galaxy M31 is a somewhat thicker phone than Xperia XZ Premium, but both weight the same. The Samsung Galaxy M31 features a processor that is very similar to Xperia XZ Premium's CPU, and although the Samsung Galaxy M31 has a larger amount of RAM, they both have 8 CPU cores.
The Sony Xperia XZ Premium counts with a lot better looking display than Galaxy M31, because although it has a little smaller display, it also counts with a way better pixel density, a way brighter screen and a lot better resolution of 2160 x 3840px. The Galaxy M31 captures better photographs and videos than Xperia XZ Premium, and although they both have the same (4K) video resolution and the same video frame rate, the Galaxy M31 also has a camera in the back with a lot higher 64 megapixels resolution, a lot bigger sensor which offers a lot better image and video quality and a bigger diafragm aperture.
The Samsung Galaxy M31 features just a bit more memory capacity for applications and games than Sony Xperia XZ Premium, and although they both have equal 64 GB internal memory capacity, the Samsung Galaxy M31 also has an external SD slot that allows a maximum of 512 GB. Galaxy M31 has a really longer battery life than Sony Xperia XZ Premium, because it has an 86 percent larger battery capacity.
