Comparison review
The Apple iPhone 7 Plus is better than Xperia XZ, with a score of 83.8 against 73.5. Even though Apple iPhone 7 Plus and the Xperia XZ were released only a few months apart, Apple iPhone 7 Plus's body is a bit thinner but heavier. The iPhone 7 Plus counts with a bit better processing unit than Xperia XZ. Both have the same number of cores and the same RAM memory amount.
IPhone 7 Plus counts with a slightly better display than Sony Xperia XZ, because although it has a just a bit worse pixel density, and they both have exactly the same resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels, the iPhone 7 Plus also counts with a quite bigger screen. The iPhone 7 Plus counts with much more memory to install games and applications than Sony Xperia XZ, because although it has no SD card slot, it also counts with more internal storage capacity.
Xperia XZ takes a little bit better pictures and videos than iPhone 7 Plus, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture which is not good for low light photography, and they both have the same video frame rate and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition, the Xperia XZ also counts with a way higher resolution back camera and a lot bigger camera sensor which gives a way better photo and video quality.
Xperia XZ and Apple iPhone 7 Plus both feature similar batteries duration.
Although iPhone 7 Plus is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Sony Xperia XZ, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Sony Xperia XZ. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy iPhone 7 Plus, otherwise you can save some money and get the Sony Xperia XZ, letting go a couple specs and features.
