OnePlus 8 has an overall score of 76, which is slightly better than the Sony Xperia XZ's general score of 73.5. The OnePlus 8 body is incredibly newer and a little thinner, but somewhat heavier than the Sony Xperia XZ. OnePlus 8 features a brighter screen than Xperia XZ, because although it has a just a little lower pixel density, it also counts with a bigger display and a quite better resolution of 1080 x 2400px.
The OnePlus 8 counts with a bit faster CPU than Xperia XZ, because it has a higher number of cores (and faster) and a higher amount of RAM memory. The OnePlus 8 features a bigger storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Xperia XZ, because although it has no SD extension slot, it also counts with 96 GB more internal storage capacity.
OnePlus 8 features a much better camera than Xperia XZ, and although they both have the same (4K) video resolution, the OnePlus 8 also has faster video frame rate, a larger aperture to capture better low-light photos, a much better 48 MP resolution back-facing camera and a bigger sensor taking better quality photos.
The OnePlus 8 has a superior battery duration than Sony Xperia XZ, because it has a 4300mAh battery capacity against 2900mAh.
OnePlus 8 costs more than Xperia XZ, but it's still a convenient choice, because you can get a lot more features for that extra money.
