Comparison review
The iPhone 8 is better than the Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact, with a global score of 85 against 74.6. Although iPhone 8 and the Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact were released only a couple of months apart, iPhone 8's body is a little heavier but also incredibly thinner. The Apple iPhone 8 has a little more vivid screen than Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact, because it has a little bigger screen, a bit higher resolution of 750 x 1334 pixels and a little better number of pixels per inch in the display.
The Apple iPhone 8 counts with a bit superior processor than Xperia XZ1 Compact, because although it has a lower amount of RAM and an inferior number of cores and they are also slower, it also counts with a 64-bits processor. The Xperia XZ1 Compact captures just a bit better videos and photos than iPhone 8, because although it has a smaller camera aperture and slower 30 frames per second video frame rate, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality, the Xperia XZ1 Compact also counts with a camera with lot more MP and a lot larger back-facing camera sensor providing a lot higher image quality.
The iPhone 8 features a much better storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Xperia XZ1 Compact, because although it has no slot for SD memory cards, it also counts with 256 GB internal storage. Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact has a way better battery performance than iPhone 8, because it has 2700mAh of battery capacity against 1821mAh.
Apple iPhone 8 costs a lot more than Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact, but you can get a better phone for that extra dollars.
