Comparison review
The Asus ZenFone AR is a little bit better than Xperia XZ1 Compact, having a general score of 77.4 against 74.6. Even though Asus ZenFone AR and the Xperia XZ1 Compact were only released with a few months difference, Asus ZenFone AR's construction is a little bit thinner but somewhat heavier. The Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact features a bit faster processing unit than Asus ZenFone AR, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM, it also counts with a larger number of cores (and also faster).
Asus ZenFone AR features a sharper display than Xperia XZ1 Compact, because it has a much higher pixel number per inch of screen, a bigger display and a lot higher 1440 x 2560 resolution. The Asus ZenFone AR counts with a lot bigger memory capacity to store more apps and games than Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact, because it has a SD memory slot that allows up to 1,95 TB and 128 GB internal memory capacity.
The Asus ZenFone AR features greater battery performance than Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact, because it has 3300mAh of battery capacity. Xperia XZ1 Compact shoots slightly better videos and photos than Asus ZenFone AR, because although it has a lower 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution and a lower 19 MP resolution camera in the back, and they both have the same diafragm aperture, the Xperia XZ1 Compact also counts with a bigger back camera sensor taking higher quality videos and photographs.
