Comparison review
The Xperia XZ1 is just a bit better than the Asus ROG Phone, having a 78.3 score against 77.1. The Xperia XZ1 construction is somewhat thinner and a lot lighter than the Asus ROG Phone, although it was released about 14 months before. Asus ROG Phone counts with a little sharper display than Xperia XZ1, because although it has a just a little inferior pixels count in each inch of display, it also counts with a larger display and a slightly higher 1080 x 2160 pixels resolution.
The Asus ROG Phone has a very superior memory for games and applications than Xperia XZ1, because although it has no SD card slot, it also counts with more internal storage capacity. The Asus ROG Phone counts with just a little better performance than Sony Xperia XZ1, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Asus ROG Phone also has more RAM.
Asus ROG Phone counts with a superior battery life than Xperia XZ1, because it has a 48% more battery capacity. The Sony Xperia XZ1 shoots a lot better videos and photos than Asus ROG Phone, because although it has a smaller camera aperture and slower 30 frames per second video frame rates, and they both have the same (4K) video resolution, the Sony Xperia XZ1 also counts with a bigger camera sensor providing a better image quality.
Despite of being the best phone between the ones we are comparing, Xperia XZ1 is also a bargain compared to others, making it a great choice.
