Comparison review
The Xperia XZ1 is slightly better than the HTC One M9, having a score of 78.3 against 77.7. The Xperia XZ1 is a noticeably newer device, and it is also extremely thinner and just a bit lighter than HTC One M9. The HTC One M9 counts with a bit superior processor than Xperia XZ1, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM memory, and they both have a Octa-Core processor, the HTC One M9 also counts with a 64-bits processor and an additional GPU.
HTC One M9 counts with a much better looking screen than Xperia XZ1, because although it has a little smaller display, and they both have exactly the same resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, the HTC One M9 also counts with a just a little better number of pixels in each screen inch. Xperia XZ1 has a much better storage capacity to store more apps and games than HTC One M9, because it has a SD card slot that allows a maximum of 1,95 TB and 64 GB internal storage.
HTC One M9 features a little longer battery lifetime than Xperia XZ1, because it has 2840mAh of battery capacity. Xperia XZ1 captures slightly better photographs and videos than HTC One M9, because although it has a lower resolution camera and a lower video definition, it also counts with a bigger camera aperture to capture better low-light captures and video and a larger back camera sensor.
Although Sony Xperia XZ1 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than HTC One M9, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the HTC One M9. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy the Sony Xperia XZ1, else you can save a couple dollars and buy the HTC One M9, resigning some features and specifications.
