Comparison review
The Xperia XZ1 has a general score of 78.3, which is a bit better than HTC U11's 77.6 overall score. The Xperia XZ1 construction is just a little thinner and just a little lighter than HTC U11, even though they were released only a couple of months apart. HTC U11 counts with a slightly better looking display than Xperia XZ1, because it has a better quantity of pixels per screen inch, a quite bigger screen and a better 1440 x 2560 resolution.
The Xperia XZ1 features a much greater storage capacity for apps and games than HTC U11, and although they both have exactly the same internal storage, the Xperia XZ1 also has an external memory slot that supports a maximum of 1,95 TB. HTC U11 and Sony Xperia XZ1 have very similar CPUs, both have a Octa-Core processing unit and the same RAM amount.
The Xperia XZ1 takes just a bit better videos and photos than HTC U11, because although it has a tinier aperture, and they both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rates and the same 3840x2160 video quality, the Xperia XZ1 also counts with a bigger back camera sensor taking more light and vivid colors and a lot higher 19 megapixels resolution camera.
HTC U11 counts with just a bit longer battery duration than Xperia XZ1, because it has a 3000mAh battery size.
Although Sony Xperia XZ1 is a better device, it is way more expensive than HTC U11, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the HTC U11. If you want to save some money, you can get HTC U11, and give up some specs and features, but you'll get the most with your money.
