Comparison review

Sony Xperia XZ1 is slightly better than Motorola Moto Z3 Play, having a 78.3 score against 76.3. The Sony Xperia XZ1 construction has the same weight than Motorola Moto Z3 Play, but it is a little thicker. Xperia XZ1 counts with a bit more vivid screen than Motorola Moto Z3 Play, because although it has a bit worse resolution of 1080 x 1920 and a bit smaller display, it also counts with a just a bit more pixels per inch in the screen.

The Xperia XZ1 counts with a little bit better performance than Moto Z3 Play. Both have the same number of cores and a 4 GB RAM. The Xperia XZ1 and the Moto Z3 Play have really similar memory for apps and games, both have the same 64 GB internal memory capacity and a slot for external memory cards that allows up to 1,95 TB.

The Moto Z3 Play has a little longer battery life than Sony Xperia XZ1, because it has a 3000mAh battery size. Xperia XZ1 takes just a bit better pictures and videos than Motorola Moto Z3 Play, because although it has a tinier aperture, and they both have the same video resolution and the same 30 frames per second video frame rate, the Xperia XZ1 also counts with a larger sensor and a camera with a way higher resolution.

Although Sony Xperia XZ1 is a better device, it costs more money than Moto Z3 Play, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Moto Z3 Play. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy the Sony Xperia XZ1, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and buy the Moto Z3 Play, resigning some features and specifications.
