Comparison review

The Sony Xperia XZ1 has a score of 78.3, which is slightly better than Galaxy S5 Plus's global score of 78.1. The Sony Xperia XZ1 design is extremely newer and a bit thinner than Galaxy S5 Plus's, although it's a bit heavier. The Galaxy S5 Plus's processor is very similar to the processor in Sony Xperia XZ1, because although the Galaxy S5 Plus has less RAM memory and 4 less CPU cores (although they are faster), it also counts with an additional graphics processing unit.

The Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus features a brighter screen than Xperia XZ1, because although it has a little smaller screen, and they both have an equal resolution of 1920 x 1080, the Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus also counts with a little bit greater count of pixels in each inch of screen. The Xperia XZ1 has just a bit better camera than Galaxy S5 Plus, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition and the same video frame rate, the Xperia XZ1 also has a larger aperture for better low-light photos, a bigger back camera sensor capturing better quality videos and pictures and a higher 19 MP resolution back-facing camera.

Xperia XZ1 features much more memory to install applications and games than Galaxy S5 Plus, because it has a SD card slot that allows up to 1,95 TB and more internal storage. Galaxy S5 Plus has a bit longer battery duration than Xperia XZ1, because it has a 2800mAh battery capacity.

Although Sony Xperia XZ1 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus. If you prefer to save some money, you can buy Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus, letting go a couple features, but you will get the most with your savings.
