Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge has a global score of 85.7, which is just a bit better than Xperia XZ1's general score of 78.3. The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge is an extremely older device than Xperia XZ1, but Samsung managed to make it lighter and a little bit thinner anyway. The Galaxy S6 Edge features a little bit better hardware performance than Sony Xperia XZ1, because although it has less RAM memory, and they both have 8 cpu cores, the Galaxy S6 Edge also counts with a graphics co-processor and a 64-bit CPU.
The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge features a way better looking display than Sony Xperia XZ1, because although it has a little bit smaller display, it also counts with more pixels per screen inch and a higher resolution of 2560 x 1440. Xperia XZ1 takes much clearer pictures and videos than Galaxy S6 Edge, because although it has a tinier diafragm aperture which is not so good for low-light photography and videos, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video quality and the same video frame rate, the Xperia XZ1 also counts with a higher 19 megapixels resolution camera in the back and a bigger camera sensor providing a higher image quality.
Xperia XZ1 counts with much more memory for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, because although it has 0 less internal memory capacity, it also counts with a SD extension slot that supports up to 1,95 TB. Sony Xperia XZ1 has a bit longer battery performance than Galaxy S6 Edge, because it has a 2700mAh battery size against 2600mAh.
Galaxy S6 Edge costs more than the Sony Xperia XZ1, but you can get a better phone for that extra dollars.
