Comparison review
The Xperia XZ1 has a score of 78.3, which is just a bit better than the Samsung Galaxy S7 Active's 75.8 score. The Xperia XZ1 is a newer device, and it's also notably thinner and somewhat lighter than Samsung Galaxy S7 Active. Samsung Galaxy S7 Active has a more vivid screen than Sony Xperia XZ1, because although it has a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a better amount of pixels per inch of screen and a better resolution of 1440 x 2560px.
The Xperia XZ1 has a superior memory capacity for games and applications than Galaxy S7 Active, because it has more internal memory and a slot for an external memory card that admits up to 1,95 TB. The Xperia XZ1 features a bit faster CPU than Samsung Galaxy S7 Active, and although they both have the same RAM memory amount, the Xperia XZ1 also has a larger number of cores (and also faster).
The Xperia XZ1 counts with a better camera than Galaxy S7 Active, because although it has a smaller camera aperture, and they both have the same (4K) video definition and the same video frame rates, the Xperia XZ1 also counts with a back-facing camera with much more megapixels. The Galaxy S7 Active has a much better battery performance than Sony Xperia XZ1, because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity.
Although Sony Xperia XZ1 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Galaxy S7 Active, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Galaxy S7 Active. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy Sony Xperia XZ1, otherwise you can save some dollars and get the Galaxy S7 Active, giving up a couple specs and features.
