Comparison review

The Galaxy S8 is a little bit better than the Xperia XZ1, with a global score of 81.7 against 78.3. Although Galaxy S8 and Xperia XZ1 were released only 5 months apart, the Galaxy S8 body is a little bit lighter but also just a little thicker. Sony Xperia XZ1 counts with a bit more powerful processing unit than Galaxy S8. Both of them have 8 cpu cores and a 4 GB RAM.

Samsung Galaxy S8 counts with a little more vivid screen than Xperia XZ1, because it has a bit bigger display, a much higher 1440 x 2960 pixels resolution and more pixels per inch of display. The Sony Xperia XZ1 features a lot bigger storage capacity for games and applications than Galaxy S8, and although they both have equal 64 GB internal storage capacity, the Sony Xperia XZ1 also has a SD extension slot that holds up to 1,95 TB.

Samsung Galaxy S8 has a little better battery life than Xperia XZ1, because it has an 11 percent more battery size. The Sony Xperia XZ1 shoots clearer photographs and videos than Galaxy S8, because although it has a tinier aperture which is worse for low-light images and videos, and they both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rates and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution, the Sony Xperia XZ1 also counts with a larger sensor providing a better image quality and a much better resolution back facing camera.

Despite of being the best phone of the ones we are comparing here, Samsung Galaxy S8 is also by far the cheapest one.
