The Xperia 1 III has a global score of 93.3, which is better than Xperia XZ1's 78.3 score. Xperia 1 III's design is extremely newer than Xperia XZ1's, but it's just a little bit thicker and heavier. The Sony Xperia 1 III has just a bit better performance than Sony Xperia XZ1, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Sony Xperia 1 III also has more RAM.
The Xperia 1 III features a better screen than Sony Xperia XZ1, because it has a lot higher resolution of 1644 x 3840, a larger screen and a way higher screen density. Sony Xperia 1 III counts with a much better memory for applications and games than Sony Xperia XZ1, because although it has a SD extension slot that supports up to 1 TB against 1,95 TB, it also counts with 256 GB internal memory.
The Sony Xperia 1 III shoots just a bit better photos and videos than Xperia XZ1, because although it has a back camera with way less mega pixels resolution and a worse (4K) video resolution, it also counts with a much bigger camera sensor providing a much better image quality and a larger aperture for better low-light photos and videos.
Xperia 1 III counts with a way better battery duration than Xperia XZ1, because it has 4500mAh of battery capacity.
The Xperia 1 III costs a lot more than the Sony Xperia XZ1, but you can get a better phone for that few more dollars.
