Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium has an overall score of 82.2, which is just a bit better than the Xperia XZ1's overall score of 78.3. The Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium is a newer phone than the Xperia XZ1, although it's noticeably heavier and notably thicker. Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium counts with just a bit better performance than Xperia XZ1, and although they both have 8 processing cores, the Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium also has 2 GB more RAM memory.
Xperia XZ2 Premium counts with an incredibly better display than Xperia XZ1, because it has a bit larger display, a much better resolution of 2160 x 3840px and a much greater display pixel density. Xperia XZ1 has a superior memory to store more games and applications than Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium, and although they both have equal internal memory capacity, the Xperia XZ1 also has a slot for SD memory cards that holds a maximum of 1,95 TB.
Xperia XZ2 Premium and Xperia XZ1 both count with similar cameras, and although the Xperia XZ2 Premium has a bigger diafragm aperture, they both have the same resolution camera, a same size back camera sensor, the same video resolution and the same video frame rates. The Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium features better battery life than Xperia XZ1, because it has a 3540mAh battery capacity instead of 2700mAh.
Although Xperia XZ2 Premium is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Sony Xperia XZ1, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Sony Xperia XZ1. If you want to save some dollars, you can buy Sony Xperia XZ1, and give up a couple features and specs, but you'll get the most with your money.
