Comparison review
The Xperia XZ1 has a general score of 78.3, which is a little bit better than Sony Xperia Z5's overall score of 77.6. The Xperia XZ1 is a a little bit heavier phone than the Sony Xperia Z5, but they have the same thickness. The Sony Xperia Z5 features a more vivid display than Xperia XZ1. Both have the same amount of pixels in each screen inch, an equal 1920 x 1080px resolution and a same size display.
Xperia XZ1 features a much bigger storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Sony Xperia Z5, because it has more internal memory capacity and a slot for an external memory card that allows a maximum of 1,95 TB. Xperia Z5 counts with a processor that is just as good as the Sony Xperia XZ1 one, because although the Xperia Z5 has less RAM memory, and they both have a Octa-Core CPU, it also counts with an extra graphics co-processor.
Xperia Z5 has a bit longer battery life than Xperia XZ1, because it has a 2900mAh battery size against 2700mAh. Xperia Z5 has a bit better camera than Sony Xperia XZ1, and although they both have a 0.43 inches back camera sensor, the same video frame rates and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution, the Xperia Z5 also has a bigger aperture to capture better low light captures and a better resolution back-facing camera.
Although Sony Xperia XZ1 is a better device, it is way more expensive than Xperia Z5, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Xperia Z5. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy the Sony Xperia XZ1, else you can save some money and buy the Xperia Z5, resigning some specifications.
