The Xperia XZ1 is a little bit better than the Xiaomi Mi 8 SE, getting a 78.3 score against 75.9. Xiaomi Mi 8 SE counts with a little bit better looking screen than Sony Xperia XZ1, because although it has a little worse number of pixels per inch of screen, it also counts with a slightly higher resolution of 1080 x 2244 and a little bit larger display.
Xperia XZ1 counts with just a bit better processing power than Xiaomi Mi 8 SE, although it has a lower amount of RAM, they both have a Octa-Core processor. The Sony Xperia XZ1 shoots just a bit better pictures and videos than Xiaomi Mi 8 SE, because although it has a tinier diafragm aperture which is not so good for low light captures and video, and they both have the same (4K) video definition and the same video frame rate, the Sony Xperia XZ1 also counts with a bigger back camera sensor taking better quality photos and a way higher resolution back camera.
The Xperia XZ1 counts with a much greater storage capacity for applications and games than Xiaomi Mi 8 SE, and although they both have the same 64 GB internal storage capacity, the Xperia XZ1 also has a SD extension slot that allows a maximum of 1,95 TB. The Xiaomi Mi 8 SE features superior battery life than Xperia XZ1, because it has a 3120mAh battery capacity.
