The Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact has a score of 79, which is slightly better than the Huawei P20's 78.1 overall score. Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact's construction is just a little heavier and way thicker than Huawei P20. Both devices in this review work with Android OS (operating system), but Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact has older 8.0 Oreo version and Huawei P20 has Android 9.0 Pie version.
Xperia XZ2 Compact features just a little better performance than Huawei P20. They have the same RAM memory amount and 8 CPU cores. The Xperia XZ2 Compact has a sharper display than Huawei P20, because although it has a little bit lower resolution of 1080 x 2160px and a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a little bit greater pixels density.
Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact features a quite bigger storage to store more apps and games than Huawei P20, because although it has only 64 GB internal memory, it also counts with a slot for an external memory card that supports up to 400 GB. Xperia XZ2 Compact shoots a bit better videos and photos than Huawei P20, because although it has a smaller aperture which is not favorable for shooting images and video in low light situations, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition and a 0.43 inches back camera sensor, the Xperia XZ2 Compact also counts with a much more MP camera and better 60 frames per second video frame rates.
The Huawei P20 counts with just a bit longer battery duration than Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact, because it has a 3400mAh battery size.
