Comparison review
The Xperia XZ2 Compact is slightly better than the Xiaomi Mi 5s, with a overall score of 79 against 76.4. The Xperia XZ2 Compact design is newer, but somewhat heavier and way thicker than the Xiaomi Mi 5s. These devices include Android operating system, but Xperia XZ2 Compact has a more recent 8.0 Oreo version while Xiaomi Mi 5s has Android 6.0 Marshmallow version.
The Xperia XZ2 Compact has a slightly better looking display than Xiaomi Mi 5s, because although it has a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a quite better resolution of 1080 x 2160, a just a little better number of pixels per inch of screen and a bit brighter display. Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact features a greater memory for applications, games, photos and videos than Xiaomi Mi 5s, because although it has just 64 GB internal memory capacity, it also counts with a slot for SD memory cards that admits a maximum of 400 GB.

The Xperia XZ2 Compact captures much better pictures and videos than Xiaomi Mi 5s, and although they both have the same (4K) video resolution, the same aperture and a same size camera sensor, the Xperia XZ2 Compact also has better 60 frames per second video frame rates and a much more megapixels camera in the back.
