Huawei Mate 30 Pro has a score of 87.1, which is a little bit better than Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium's overall score of 82.2. The Huawei Mate 30 Pro construction is newer, somewhat lighter and noticeably thinner than Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium. Xperia XZ2 Premium and Huawei Mate 30 Pro feature similar CPUs, and although the Huawei Mate 30 Pro has a larger amount of RAM, they both have the same number of cores.
Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium has a way better looking screen than Huawei Mate 30 Pro, because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with a much greater number of pixels per inch of screen and a lot higher resolution of 2160 x 3840. Huawei Mate 30 Pro counts with improved battery lifetime than Xperia XZ2 Premium, because it has a 4500mAh battery capacity instead of 3540mAh.
