Comparison review
Xperia XZ2 Premium is a little bit better than the LG V30, getting a score of 82.2 against 79.1. Xperia XZ2 Premium's construction is newer than LG V30's, but it's extremely heavier and thicker. The Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium features a much better display than LG V30, because although it has a little smaller display, it also counts with a lot better 2160 x 3840 resolution and a greater screen density.
LG V30 has a superior storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Xperia XZ2 Premium, and although they both have exactly the same 64 GB internal memory capacity, the LG V30 also has a SD card slot that allows a maximum of 1,95 TB. Xperia XZ2 Premium counts with a bit more powerful processing unit than LG V30, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Xperia XZ2 Premium also has a larger amount of RAM memory.
Xperia XZ2 Premium counts with just a little better battery lifetime than LG V30, because it has 3540mAh of battery capacity. Xperia XZ2 Premium takes just a bit better videos and photos than LG V30, because although it has a tinier diafragm aperture which is not favorable for low-light photos and video, and they both have the same video frame rates and the same video resolution, the Xperia XZ2 Premium also counts with a lot bigger back-facing camera sensor shooting much better quality videos and pictures and a better 19 MP resolution camera.
Although Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium is a better device, it is way more expensive than the LG V30, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as LG V30. If you are trying to save some money, you can buy the LG V30, giving up a few features and specs, but you will get the most out of your budget.
