Samsung Galaxy M31 has an overall score of 86.5, which is just a bit better than the Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium's global score of 82.2. The Samsung Galaxy M31 is a newer cellphone, and it is also noticeably thinner and lighter than the Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium. The Xperia XZ2 Premium counts with just a bit better hardware performance than Samsung Galaxy M31. They have 8 CPU cores and the same RAM memory amount.
The Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium has a way better screen than Galaxy M31, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a lot better resolution of 2160 x 3840 pixels, much more pixels per display inch and a really brighter screen. Galaxy M31 takes better photographs and videos than Xperia XZ2 Premium, and although they both have the same (4K) video definition, a same size aperture and the same 30 frames per second video frame rate, the Galaxy M31 also has a much larger back camera sensor which provides a lot better image and video quality and a camera with a much higher 64 MP resolution.
