Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium has a global score of 82.2, which is just a bit better than Galaxy Note Edge's general score of 81.7. Even though the Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium is a lot newer than Galaxy Note Edge, it's way heavier and a lot thicker. The Xperia XZ2 Premium features a little bit better hardware performance than Samsung Galaxy Note Edge, because although it has doesn't have a graphics processor, it also counts with more cores and more RAM.
The Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium features a little more vivid display than Samsung Galaxy Note Edge, because it has a lot better resolution of 2160 x 3840, more pixels per screen inch and a little bit bigger display. Xperia XZ2 Premium takes slightly better pictures and videos than Galaxy Note Edge, and although they both have the same (4K) video resolution and the same 30 frames per second video frame rate, the Xperia XZ2 Premium also has a larger diafragm aperture, a bigger camera sensor providing a higher image quality and a higher 19 megapixels resolution camera in the back.
Xperia XZ2 Premium counts with much more memory for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Note Edge, because it has a slot for SD memory cards that supports up to 400 GB and 64 GB internal memory. Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium has superior battery performance than Galaxy Note Edge, because it has a 3540mAh battery size against 3000mAh.
Although Xperia XZ2 Premium is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Samsung Galaxy Note Edge. If you want to save some money, you can get the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge, giving up a few specs and features, but you'll get the most out of your savings.
