Comparison review

Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium has a global score of 82.2, which is a bit better than the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+'s 79.3 overall score. Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium's design is way newer than the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+'s, although it is way thicker and way heavier. The Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium features a sharper screen than Galaxy S6 edge+, because it has a better number of pixels per screen inch, a little bigger display and a much better 2160 x 3840 resolution.

The Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium counts with much more storage capacity to install games and applications than Galaxy S6 edge+, and although they both have exactly the same internal memory capacity, the Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium also has a SD memory card expansion slot that allows a maximum of 400 GB. Xperia XZ2 Premium features a faster processor than Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+, because it has a higher number of cores (and faster) and 2 GB more RAM memory.

The Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium shoots clearer videos and photos than Galaxy S6 edge+, and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution, the Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium also has a larger camera aperture for better low light captures, a more megapixels camera and a larger back-facing camera sensor shooting higher quality videos and photographs.

The Xperia XZ2 Premium counts with greater battery lifetime than Galaxy S6 edge+, because it has a 3540mAh battery size.

Although Xperia XZ2 Premium is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+. So if you need that extra features, you can buy the Xperia XZ2 Premium, else you can save some money and get the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+, giving up some specifications.
