Comparison review
The Huawei Mate 40 Pro has a score of 90.9, which is much better than Xperia XZ2's 79.1 general score. Huawei Mate 40 Pro's body is newer and somewhat thinner, but just a little heavier than the Xperia XZ2. The Huawei Mate 40 Pro has just a bit better performance than Sony Xperia XZ2, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Huawei Mate 40 Pro also has a greater amount of RAM.
Xperia XZ2 counts with a slightly better screen than Huawei Mate 40 Pro, although it has a way lower resolution of 1080 x 2160px, a bit smaller screen and a just a little lower pixel density. Huawei Mate 40 Pro features a much better camera than Xperia XZ2, and although they both have the same video frame rates and the same 3840x2160 video resolution, the Huawei Mate 40 Pro also has a larger camera aperture, a much bigger back camera sensor providing a way higher image quality and a way higher 50 mega-pixels resolution back camera.
Huawei Mate 40 Pro counts with a greater storage for apps and games than Sony Xperia XZ2, because although it has no external memory card slot, it also counts with more internal storage. The Huawei Mate 40 Pro has a much better battery performance than Xperia XZ2, because it has 4400mAh of battery capacity against 3180mAh.
