Comparison review
Samsung Galaxy A40 has a general score of 79.6, which is a little bit better than the Sony Xperia XZ2's global score of 79.1. Samsung Galaxy A40's construction is newer, a lot thinner and way lighter than Sony Xperia XZ2. Xperia XZ2 has a bit better looking screen than Galaxy A40, although it has a bit worse resolution of 1080 x 2160, a little bit worse number of pixels per inch of display and a little smaller display.
The Galaxy A40 counts with slightly more memory capacity for games and applications than Xperia XZ2, and although they both have exactly the same 64 GB internal storage capacity, the Galaxy A40 also has an external memory slot that supports up to 512 GB. Xperia XZ2 features a bit more powerful processor than Samsung Galaxy A40. Both of them have the same number of cores and a 4 GB RAM memory.
Xperia XZ2 features a much better camera than Samsung Galaxy A40, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture which is not recommended for low-light images and videos, it also counts with a lot higher video resolution, a larger sensor taking higher quality photos and a higher resolution back facing camera.
Xperia XZ2 features just a bit better battery duration than Samsung Galaxy A40, because it has a 3 percent larger battery size.
