The Xperia XZ2 has a score of 79.1, which is a bit better than the Samsung Galaxy J8's global score of 76.7. Even being the best in this review, the Xperia XZ2 is a heavier and much thicker phone than the Samsung Galaxy J8. Xperia XZ2 counts with a little bit better hardware performance than Samsung Galaxy J8. Both have the same RAM amount and 8 processing cores.
Xperia XZ2 has an incredibly better screen than Samsung Galaxy J8, because although it has a little smaller screen, it also counts with much more pixels per screen inch and a lot better resolution of 1080 x 2160. The Sony Xperia XZ2 has a bit more memory to store more apps and games than Samsung Galaxy J8, and although they both have equal 64 GB internal storage, the Sony Xperia XZ2 also has a slot for SD memory cards that admits up to 400 GB.
The Samsung Galaxy J8 has a bit better battery duration than Sony Xperia XZ2, because it has a 10 percent bigger battery size. The Xperia XZ2 captures better photos and videos than Galaxy J8, because although it has a smaller camera aperture which is not so good for low light images, it also counts with a higher 19 mega-pixels resolution back camera, a larger sensor and a way better 3840x2160 video definition.
