The Galaxy Note5 has an overall score of 80.2, which is just a bit better than Xperia XZ2's global score of 79.1. Galaxy Note5's body is way thinner and lighter than Xperia XZ2, despite of the fact that it was released many years before. The Xperia XZ2 has a little faster processor than Samsung Galaxy Note5. Both have a Octa-Core processor and a 4 GB RAM memory.

Xperia XZ2 has a little sharper screen than Galaxy Note5, although it has a quite worse count of pixels per inch in the screen and a lot lower 1080 x 2160px resolution, they both have a same size display. Sony Xperia XZ2 has a little bit better camera than Galaxy Note5, because although it has a smaller aperture which is not recommended for shooting photos or video in low light environments, and they both have the same (4K) video quality, the Sony Xperia XZ2 also counts with faster 60 frames per second video frame rates, a more MP camera in the back and a bigger sensor taking more light and vivid colors.

Sony Xperia XZ2 has a lot bigger memory for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Note5, and although they both have the same internal memory capacity, the Sony Xperia XZ2 also has an external memory card slot that admits a maximum of 400 GB. The Xperia XZ2 features just a bit better battery duration than Galaxy Note5, because it has a 3180mAh battery size.
